When I heard about President Gordon B. Hinckley's passing, many things came to mind.
I remember a kind and loving prophet who opened the world up to the church.
He never was ashamed of his beliefs and spoke sweetly of the things that he believed.
I know that he served for 12 years, but that time period seems so much longer to me.
Maybe it is because those years encompass most of my adult life...
At least now he is at rest with his wife.
....I'm not sure that President Hinckley is "resting" with his wife....I believe he is still going, and going, and going ! What an awesome Man.
ReplyDeleteI used to think that David O. McKay was the "only" prophet because I grew up with him...now I know there are two...and soon to be three.

Helloooooooo!!! Didn't even know you had one of these girlfriend! Is the previous comment mom as in "mom that I know, mom"? Two, soon to be three prophets, am I confused or what???? I will miss President Hinckley mostly for his unending positive encouragement and his obvious love for everyone. I, like most, immediately thought of how grateful he must be to be back with his beloved wife.
