A reprimand in love

Ok, so if you don't know yet, I have been called to be Primary Chorister.....again. I have been with music in Primary for 1/2 of my married life. Since I was released from the Relief Society presidency, I have known that I would be going into Primary. Somehow, though, I wanted to believe that it was something else. As the brother from the Bishopric came and went on Wednesday evening, I cried. I told him how I was overwhelmed and wasn't quite sure that I could do this right now...For me, Primary Chorister is labor-intensive...

I read a couple of articles in the Church News that came recently. I am certain that I was supposed to read those articles. In addition, my mother forwarded an email telling an unbelievable story of Elder Eyring and his faith in God. He testified how angels would be there to sustain in the service of the Lord. President Monson essentially said the same thing..."Serve where you are called..." Don't worry about where you have served or where you will serve. I think that is what I am to learn with this one...

The moment that the call was issued, I flashed back to a very dark time in my mission. My mission president called me in to "break the news" to me that I was to serve with an 83 year old single sister...When he cried and shared how difficult it might be, I just knew that I was supposed to do it anyway. It was indeed the hardest two months of my life (to that point). It was all about faith...That is what this "new" (not really) calling is, too...It's all about faith...Angels will be all around me to bear me up.

Hmmm....Is that all that I am to learn? That means I'm done right? I never stay in a calling long! :-)

  2. I know that you can touch the lives of youth..no matter what the age and music is a great medium to do that. With your talent, you diligence, your FAITH (yes, remember you are the one who has kept me going through the years) and your willingness to serve the Lord, your're Primary will blossom like a rose...i think's that's a song, isn't it? Remember, you can also ask for help and have others receive blessings as a result of your asking. Keep smiling!
