So, Seth has been playing with the local league on a flag football team. Overall, it has not been a good experience for me. Now, I realize that it isn't about me, but since we are done, I want to whine a bit... :-)
There are two teams called the same name- one white(even though we are gold) and one blue. Now the coaches have TOTALLY stacked the blue team and left the white/gold to sort of fend for themselves. With the various teams that we have been with, I have never had quite the group of parents that are with this bunch. What I mean is, I do not like any of them! I cannot stand the way they cuss with many children around...I do not like the way they parent and on and on...
Case in point, we watched Seth NOT play to his potential because nobody will take him aside and teach him in the moment...He isn't the coaches son and it is offensive!

Mean people STINK!! Now, I feel better too. Sorry...the world of sports sometimes is mega obnoxious. It's supposed to provide positive experiences and often it is the exact opposite.
ReplyDeleteNo one told us that we would suffer so much when our kids are slighted! I know Seth will grow up to be a star anyway...how could he not?...he's got Bearden Blood!lol I guess we just have to help our kids learn "life lessons" and teach them to get the most out of them.
