Very Interesting...

So, I woke up this morning with the intention that I was going to enjoy this Mother's Day.

Now, some other being really doesn't want that to happen.

Kaden was grumpy, Seth didn't have a clean shirt, Kaden spills his cereal all over the bar area, Allen has a rash on his face, I quickly wash Seth's church shirt and promptly put it in the dryer, I take Allen into our bathroom and wash his face, I run back to finish my cereal because I am starving, I get cereal for Seth and Allen, I check on the (slow) drying white shirt, I give Allen some Benedryl, I rush to finish my makeup, I check on the (incredibly slow) drying white shirt, I scrub potatoes as Allen marinates salmon, I attempt to do my hair, I rush on to church with Allen, I lead the music in Sacrament Meeting, the Primary makes a weak attempt at singing to their mothers, I recall that we haven't met in two weeks because of the new stake organization, I then know why nobody knows the songs, oh well, I go to Primary and attempt to have singing time....etc...

I'm still going to have a good day! Watch me! :-)

  1. Why is it that dryers never work when you're waiting on something? And you forgot to add the extra 20 minutes they tried to get you to do in Primary. But...it ended on a good note. It really did. Good job today. Besides...I just love your "are you kidding me?" look. :-)

  2. You were VERY reminded today of what a mother does! I hope the rest of your day went better...if it included a nap,..call it a sucess!

  3. Oh, how well I remember those days and now I reap the benefits...children who are parents and raising amazing grandchildren in a world full of unrighteous choices. The best part is that you have them in church and they are learning correct principles.
WAY TO GO and many more happy Sabbaths!

  4. Happy Mother's Day Suzanne! Sounds like your morning was a lot like ours. When you raise your voice at your kids BEFORE heading to church on Mother's Day, it's a little guilt inducing to stand up when they honor you. But I will persevere in my efforts to be better :-) You are an awesome mama!!! I wish we lived closer.
