I really need a reminder sometimes how inspired my husband can be. He called me on Friday afternoon and asked me if we should call some friends and take their boys with us to a local water park for the evening. I thought it was fine and he did call. It was the right thing to do at the right moment and I was reminded again to listen to the spirit via my hubby.
Time #2: I led the music in Sacrament Meeting this morning filling in for someone...There was supposed to be a special musical number and I had returned to my seat after the sacrament for the remainder of the meeting. The Bishop sent a message down to me to pick a rest hymn because the musical number wasn't happening... :-) So, I opened up the hymn book and my husband says, "What about 219?" PERFECT! I had something else in mind and decided to go with his suggestion. The topics for the talks were in perfect harmony with this song. A member of the bishopric turned to me after the rest hymn and told me that it was a perfect choice. I couldn't have agreed more...
Sometimes I take for granted the promptings that others may receive... I am thankful today for the reminder to listen to others who LISTEN... :-)
