God knows...

Stake Conference was fabulous today as we heard from church leaders, including Elder Russell M. Nelson.

I think my favorite talk was from a member of the Primary Presidency in the stake. She was so inspired in reminding us of the various times in the scriptures that children are reminded of what they are supposed to be doing because of a parent (or two). Alma the younger and the stripling warriors to name 2 ( or 2000 :-)).

If we think that taking our children to church every week and having FHE every so often is enough, we are kidding ourselves. That is exactly what Satan wants us to think.

President Nelson also testified that President Monson (as all the others before him) receives revelation and "it's a beautiful thing." On a recent visit to Peru, President Monson lingered longer to call up a couple members of the congregation who needed some extra encouragement. The members were a child, dying of cancer, and his mother. President Nelson reminded President Monson that time was short. President Monson proceeded. On the flight returning to SLC, President Nelson turned to President Monson and asked how he knew that those members needed to come up out of the congregation. He promptly responded, "I didn't know, but God did!"

How true that is....We have no idea what life is going to bring us, what is going to happen with our children, or anything else really, but God knows.....and might I add---UNDERSTANDS...
