A memorial service may seem like a strange place to think of beginning something. However, with my Saturday of memorial service and baptism, I had much time for thought.
The pastor gave a wonderful "speech" about the life of the lady we were there to honor. In the process, I felt touched by many things.
I learned that even if we aren't educators, "readiness" means something. We have to be ready to learn something in order that the learning be gained. So, in every stage of life, we must be ready to move on in our development. That certainly applies to moving on to another life, right?
I really appreciated how much my Principal loved his wife. It was touching...
The baptism that I attended brought the re-birth idea full circle for me this weekend. The young man is part of Allen's primary class. It was really a sweet experience.
I thought I would have more to say, but tests and projects are calling my name...Must grade!
I love your insight about being "ready" to learn...good thoughts. Tell Allen to be a good friend to the new baptism..way to go.
