Broken Glasses = No Stake Conference Choir

Ok, so sometimes it really isn't fun to be a mom...Allen broke the frame on his glasses. I knew that he needed them for school tomorrow, so I considered it to be like "an ox in the mire" case. So, I ran over to Walmart (I know, Mom... :-)) and hoped to quickly put his perfectly fine lenses in a new frame. Well, it seems that for the second time in 9 months, we have picked a frame that is discontinued. So, I had to go home and get Allen and bring him back to pick out a new frame.

So, I didn't go to the Special Stake Conference Choir practice today. We have Elder Russell M. Nelson next week and I thought it would be nice to sing and be up on the stand this time. Oh, well. Allen needed the glasses and I guess that I needed to be a capable mom more than I needed to sing...?

I will just have to be content to sit on the hard chairs in the back and get all that I can from the conference from there.

  2. I can relate to the glasses...since I was 10. Hang in there. Right around the time Allen is preparing for his mission, he'll figure out how to NOT break his glasses. I think you should be on the stand to sing anyway...just wing it - I know you can pull it off!!
