Perfect? Ummm, I think not!

I had a rather lengthy discussion this afternoon in the church hallway with a new member who is struggling in life. (Aren't we all?)

As we discussed what was going on in her home and life, I related to some of her frustrations.

She promptly said, "You don't deal with those types of things do you? Everything always seems perfect! You are always perfect!"

WOW!

Not really perfect at all...I laughed and told her of some of the struggles that our family is having.

We really are more similar than she realized. Different issues, but issues nonetheless.

Then as I thought about the perfect comment this afternoon, I thought about the scripture about "Be ye, therefore perfect, as your Father in Heaven is perfect..."

Sometimes at church we talk about perfection as a process rather than a destination.

So, maybe our struggling family is perfect....the process kind... :-)
